Jack's embarrassing week of representing South Georgia in Congress continued Wednesday night with his appearance on MSNBC's The Abrams Report. Again, Jack slung mud at Barack Obama, each time supporting his attacks with lies and misleading statements. Click here to read a story by the Atlanta Journal Constitution that bashes Kingston for his behavior. What's worse than lying to the public? Being a hypocrite. The Gillespie Campaign did some research Friday, filming Jack in Savannah at the end of his week-long misinformation spree. We discovered that Jack doesn't wear an American flag lapel pin either!

Kingston Embarrasses Georgia on National TV
Here Jack goes again, seeking the spotlight and spending the taxpayers time politiking instead of serving the people of District 1. On Bill Maher's TV show last night, Jack attacked Barack Obama's character and patriotism, supporting his argument with blatant lies and misinformation. Read the latest news story regarding his embarrassing interview. Jack is in Congress for one purpose: to represent the people of South Georgia, fighting for what's best for our region and America. He is not there to campaign for President. Partisan publicity stunts like this interview only waste taxpayers' money and make South Georgia look bad. This is no surprise though. For several years now Jack has put his political party and special interest friends ahead of the people he represents. As your Congressman, all my energy will be focused on serving South Georgia and putting the people first.

Zero Percent: Kingston's Environmental Score
The League of Conservation Voters published their scorecard today for members of the 110th Congress. It was even worse than I expected for South Georgia. Jack scored a ZERO percent. Click here to see his score. What this means is that he did not vote for the environment or conservation on a single bill in 2007. He voted against raising fuel efficiency (CAFE) standards for automobiles; against funding clean water programs; against protecting consumers from fuel price gouging; against increasing energy efficiency requirements on products, buildings and vehicles; against funding clean air programs; against investing in alternative energy sources and reducing our dependence on coal and foreign oil; against repealing subsidies to big oil; and voted to allow private logging in national forests. Jack is not voting our values. Send me to Washington and I will make sure to protect our natural resources.

Friends Forever: Kingston, Doolittle, Abramoff
Your Congressional representative should not be dealing with suspect people. But that's not the current case. Jack Kingston is using some of his political donations to pay off Congressman John Doolittle's (R-Calif.) legal expenses relating to the Jack Abramoff Scandals. As you probably recall, Abramoff is the Washington lobbyist who illegally used money, gifts and trips to purchase favors from federal lawmakers. Kingston received $17,000 in campaign contributions from Abramoff and his clients over the years, more than any other Georgia Congressperson! Why is Jack involved in Abramoff issues again? This is just not right. Jack should be in Washington working to improve South Georgia, not spending his time worrying about the legal bills of a California Congressman. One thing is for sure: you'll never catch me spending a dime on the legal bills of a wealthy, corrupt Congressman. If you want to know more, click here to read a news story on the topic from The Brunswick News.
